Bob Hoying

As a Principal at Crawford Hoying, Bob Hoying has played an integral role in the company’s growth. Alongside his partner Brent Crawford, he helped transform a single investment property into one of the largest real estate firms in Ohio, responsible for more than $4 billion in development and acquisition, totaling more than 20 million square feet. Bob is involved in forming key relationships, analyzing new development opportunities, and working with municipal officials and other stakeholders throughout the development process. He also oversees aspects of the day-to-day business, including commercial real estate and leasing, marketing and financial feasibility analysis. 

Bob coordinates leasing efforts, and serves as a key contact for local institutions surrounding Crawford Hoying properties, including cities, hospital systems, universities and sports organizations. He is actively involved with the Crawford Hoying Foundation, contributes to various Catholic charities, volunteers as a youth football coach at St. Brendan Elementary and Bishop Watterson High School, and serves on the boards of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission and The Ohio State University Center for Real Estate Advisory. 

A graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in production and operations management, Bob played six seasons in the National Football League before returning to central Ohio to help form Crawford Hoying. As captain of OSU’s 1995 football team, he received the William V. Campbell Trophy (Draddy), recognizing excellence in academics, leadership and on-field performance. He was inducted into The Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008. Bob resides in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife, Jill and their four children.
