Principal, Crawford Hoying Development
As Principal and co-founder of Crawford Hoying Development, Nelson Yoder works alongside a multidisciplinary team to ideate and deliver complex real estate projects ranging from mixed-use communities to advanced manufacturing facilities. Since joining Brent Crawford and Bob Hoying to establish Crawford Hoying Development in 2012, Nelson has helped guide billions of dollars in development across hotel, office, residential, restaurant, retail, entertainment and industrial sectors. The firm’s portfolio includes Bridge Park, the internationally-recognized $500 million mixed-use development in Dublin, Ohio. In recent years, Nelson has led the firm’s growth in the industrial sector, including large-scale cold storage, distribution, technology and advanced manufacturing facilities.
Prior to Crawford Hoying, Nelson practiced architecture for more than a decade, overseeing significant mixed-use and industrial projects across the U.S. In 2010, he co-founded Real Estate Development Advisors, which partnered with Crawford Hoying on The Lane, an award-winning 350,000 SF mixed-use development near The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Nelson holds an MBA from the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business and a Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University. He serves as vice chair of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees and on the board of All Inclusive Living, a nonprofit dedicated to providing housing for people of all abilities and ages to thrive, where he chairs the Development Committee.
