A Note from Matt Starr, Executive Vice President of Commercial Real Estate and Leasing
Spring has arrived, and just like at your home, it is time to do some spring cleaning at Crawford Hoying! That means evaluating our existing land assets and determining whether to continue holding them for development or sell them. To that end, I am actively involved in leading an effort to sell several land assets, including the outparcel at Home2 Suites in Dublin, the Powell Green commercial land, the Clifton Heights blocks B/C/D and potentially others. Market conditions have shifted for several of these assets, making a sale the most strategic path forward and allowing us to concentrate our human and financial resources on the core assets that will remain in our portfolio. Additionally, I have been working closely with Zach Graham to evaluate our leasing strategy in markets outside Columbus while building new relationships that I believe will lead to more targeted and near-term results.

Pelotonia 2026 Update
This year marks a milestone for the Crawford Hoying & Brackett Pelotonia team: six consecutive years of riding with “One Goal!” In total, our team has raised more than $348,000 for cancer research, and we're already building on that legacy in 2026 with a team of 32 — 27 riders, 4 volunteers and 1 hiker to date. We could not do this without our participants, and we want to call out five very special members: Betsy Hoying, Jeremiah Thomas, Jordan Morgan, Mike Landrum and Russell Hunter. These five riders have participated in every Pelotonia over the last six years and show each of us that together, there are “NO LIMITS” to what we can do.
Thanks to everyone’s hard work, we've raised $14,425 toward our $53,000 goal this year, with two members already fully funded, including Chris Wagner, who has raised more than $5,000. Want to help us get all the way? Get ready for the 5th Annual Brackett Builders Cornhole Tournament in late June — a great chance to support the team and have some fun along the way. Stay tuned for details!
