A Note from Steve Welker, Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development
The development team has a lot of momentum right now. We recently received final zoning approval for Ann Arbor and are working to break ground this year, while Y Block and Worthington continue through design. On the construction side, AC Brecksville, Berea/The Barker, Cardington Flats, and J Block are underway, with Madison on First set to break ground October 5. Having this many projects actively under construction is a huge win and exciting to see come to life.
Green|House Columbus is finally nearing the finish line after challenging our team in just about every way. “Treat it like you own it” and “tireless effort” perfectly capture how everyone rallied to get it done. I’m especially grateful for the leadership and operations team who stepped up when we lost our development manager and I returned to the day-to-day.
This year has taught me life can throw major curve balls and being a part of a great team makes all the difference. I feel privileged to be on the development team and help my team grow, just as they help me. This is the strongest team I have ever had, and the level of dedication they bring every day is nothing short of amazing.
