The City of Dublin, Ohio has historically only offered the traditional, suburban lifestyle. In 2009, the City of Dublin recognized the need to innovate, creating a vision for an urban, walkable community that they called the Bridge Street District. Crawford Hoying was the first developer to tackle these new, rigorous development guidelines and acquired more than 30 acres of land along the Scioto River in 2012 - previously the site of a struggling strip mall and driving range. The team worked diligently with the City of Dublin through a public-private partnership to create a neighborhood that perfectly complemented historic Dublin, offering new options for entertainment, dining and living to residents and visitors alike - Bridge Park.
To bring this vision to life, the city issued funds to reimburse Crawford Hoying for its costs to build 1,700 parking spaces and a significant portion of the road network. The city made another significant investment of capital improvements in public works projects that support Bridge Park including the relocated Riverside Drive and roundabout, Riverside Crossing Park (spanning both sides of the river) and an iconic pedestrian bridge, The Link.
Bridge Park is now a well-known destination in central Ohio, allowing visitors, residents and office users to enjoy a once underutilized space. The $500 million+ private investment includes extensive Class A office and retail/restaurant space, for-rent residential units, for-sale condos/townhomes, a Cameron Mitchell Premier Events-operated events center and plaza, public market (North Market Bridge Park), a 150-key AC Hotel by Marriott and a 145-key SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Construction is underway on additional blocks which will continue to add new entertainment establishments, office users and residents to the area.
Owner and developer, Crawford Hoying, continues to add vibrancy to Bridge Park with a full calendar of events and programming including The Dublin Market, Fore!Fest and 12 Days of Bridge Park, attracting thousands of visitors from all over Central Ohio and beyond to Downtown Dublin.
