Crawford Hoying worked closely with public and private stakeholders as well as local residents to redevelop this 3.2-acre site on Lane Avenue in the heart of Upper Arlington - one of Ohio’s oldest and more affluent suburbs located near downtown Columbus at the western edge of The Ohio State University. The resulting, award-winning development, The Lane, was the first vertically-integrated mixed-use project of its kind in the City of Columbus and went on to serve as a model for many others.
The project includes a 109-key Hilton Hotel, 108 apartments, fully-leased retail and office space including key tenant Hudson 29 (a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant) and a public/private parking garage. The Lane apartments feature high-end amenities including a fitness center and expansive top deck courtyard. The project has been a huge success with young professionals and empty nesters, providing residents and office users a wide array of walkable restaurants and retail right outside of their doors, including a Whole Foods Market and Shops at Lane.
A second phase of development on Lane Avenue - Westmont at the Lane - rounds out the experience in one of the most vibrant and welcoming parts of the Upper Arlington community.
