Microporous Advanced Manufacturing

Microporous LLC, a leading manufacturer of battery separators, has committed to invest $1.35 billion to establish a new manufacturing facility in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, marking  new chapter in the state’s manufacturing story. The project will be constructed in multiple phases on the Southern Virginia Megasite.

Crawford Hoying is serving as developer and project manager for Microporous and is leading the delivery of the first phase of this project: a new 391,000 SF building including manufacturing, clean and dry rooms, labs, offices and other support spaces. In addition, Crawford Hoying is overseeing construction and assisting Microporous in administration of US Department of Energy Grants and other incentives awarded to the project.
